Intermediary Work:
What this work looks like and why we do it

This work is a constantly evolving experience as it involves the very new process of strengthening Youth Social Infrastructure.

As members of the ysi collaborative, we subscribe to and have co-created the following the definition, we situate ourselves as part of a community that accelerates and amplifies the conditions for youth-led organizing and

engagement in Ontario, Canada.  Our intermediary work is based on the same principles of

  (1) Convening; (2) Connecting; (3) Cultivating; and (4) Supporting

We work to align and integrate these efforts to increase our impact and help shift the overall culture and practice of the progressive movement to reflect new principles and approaches. We work to collaborate with other organizations across the sector to deepen the potential impact of our work over time, and to affirm the intersectionality of all of our work. We work to identify best practices across the sector and common principles and values for our work in order to work towards a common theory of change. We create an online space that is directed to community-building, information-sharing and messaging.
