Over the
past three years we have developed and facilitated a plethora of arts and
equity based workshops for audiences as broad as youth groups, youth service
providers and City of Toronto management staff. These workshops are part of our
360 degree approach to providing more meaningful space for diverse LGBT youth
by working with groups and institutions committed to advancing their equity
practices. We design and facilitate workshops that are extremely engaging,
interactive, and participatory. Workshop attendants get hands on opportunities
to apply methods being taught and leave with tools and resources to continue
their learning beyond the classroom.
Some themes of our workshops include:
§ Power & Privilege
§ Pro-Homo 101
§ Deconstructing the roots of homophobia and transphobia
§ Gender identity & performance
§ Deconstructing gender violence
§ Media literacy 101
§ Community based video storytelling
